LGB eSports and mousesports have secured places in the closed qualifier for FACEIT League 2015. Over 250 teams from across Europe locked horns on Saturday in the first of two open qualifiers for FACEIT League 2015, which is scheduled to start next month. Teams like 3DMAX and Orbit crashed out of the open qualifier in the Round of 16, while the former CPH Wolves team, now known as Deponeret and featuring Sebastian "isenbo" Riising as a stand-in, were eliminated in the quarter-finals following an 18-21 defeat against LGB. In the semi-finals, the Norwegian team were once again paired with a Danish side, this time unu.AiN, and Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel's men once again came out victorious, this time around with a 16-10 scoreline.
In the other half of the bracket, mousesports beat fellow German rivals ttc and Playing Ducks 16-13 and 16-11, respectively, to advance to the closed qualifier. Unlike what was previously announced by FACEIT, only the top two teams from each open qualifier will move on to the next stage. These four teams will be joined by HellRaisers and Epsilon, the bottom sides from last season, and by two other invitees, dAT Team and Na`Vi. FACEIT League 2015 Closed Qualifier:
